Peakview Carbon Monoxide Incident

At 6:21 p.m. on Monday October 23rd, Local 2164 members responded to a report of an alarm sounding at the 360 Apartments located at 7700 E. Peakview Avenue in Centennial. A carbon monoxide (CO) alarm worked as designed and when crews investigated they found higher than normal CO readings on 4 floors of the building. Residents were evacuated while crews searched for the source and ventilated the building. The cause was likely from carpet cleaning activities that occurred during the day and thankfully no one experienced any symptoms of CO poisoning. CO is colorless and odorless so working alarms are vital to the safety of you, your family and pets!  30 members responded to the incident and worked to make the building safe for nearly 3 hours.
