South Quebec St Structure Fire

At 08:50 a.m. on Saturday October 20th, Engine 61 responded to a smoke alarm sounding at Woodhaven Apartments located at 2330 South Quebec Street in Arapahoe County. Upon arrival Local 2164 members were met by a resident who reported a possible fire on the top floor and full structure fire response was dispatched. members encountered heavy smoke inside one unit, quickly extinguished the flames and searched for people inside. No one was found in the apartment and the fire was contained to one room. Crews spent approximately 30 minutes confirming there were no hot spots and ventilating smoke. No injuries occurred and investigators determined the fire was an accident, caused by candles.
