Twenty Mile Road Multi Family Structure Fire

At 06:39 on Friday June, 8th  Local 2164 members responded to an apartment building on fire at 11038 Twenty Mile Road. First arriving members from Station 41 found a large 3-story building under construction with smoke coming from 3 sides of the top floor and attic. All of the workers safely evacuated without injuries and were accounted for. Crews stretched 2 attack hose lines to the 3rd floor where they opened the walls and ceiling to find where the fire was Tower 45 and Tower 35’s aerials were used to access the roof where additional crews cut inspection holes and ventilated the smoke. By 08:00 a.m. all of the fire extension and hot spots were extinguished and the incident was declared under control. Fire investigators are working to determine what caused the fire to start. Approximately 50 personnel from SMFR were on scene and assisted by Parker Police Department and Arapahoe Rescue Patrol, Inc.
