Local 2164 President Kinny Tasker announced that he will not be re-running for the President position. It was announce that VP Jon Adams will take over as President and Brian Bowker and Mike Gilbert will be taking over the VP Position. At this time the vacant position will not be filled in anticipation the board will look different at the first of the year with the possible Parker Merger.
The Local would like to thank Kinny for the Leadership during a very difficult and turbulant time.
Details: The candidates that we are supporting will be there, and this is an attempt for us to get organized for the upcoming election. We will be going over election strategies etc, and asking for volunteers for various functions. The IAFF is raffling off a new Harley and selling raffle tickets for $100. Local 2164 will be giving away that raffle ticket for a chance to win the Harley. There are only 5000 raffle tickets that will be sold.

South Metro Board of Directors announced that Parker Fire Chief Dan Qualman will be the Interm Chief of South Metro Fire Rescue effective October 15, 2007. Chief Qualman will be the Chief of both Depts. until the merger study is finished.

It is that time of year again. Joe Carbonaro (Mr. December) is organizing getting the Chili Booth up and running again. The cook off will be October 4th on the 16th St. Mall. If you are interested in helping contact Joey.
