Casey Foster Donation
Updated
On: Jun 27, 2009 (12:21:00)
If you haven’t heard Firefighter Casey Foster’s daughter has some serious life threatening medical issues! She lives in Tucson Arizona and is currently at University hospital of Arizona. Casey and his family are by her side right know. Mike Scarpella has been in contact with Casey and is making sure that there every need is being taken care of. Casey has asked that we make are contact with him through Mike. Over the past couple of days A and C shifts have placed envelopes in the station to collect some money for Casey and his family. Casey is the proud father of 6 girls so you can imagine the logistics and money it takes to make sure they are all with her in this time of need. B shift has not had the opportunity help out so I would ask If its in your heart to give please do so by the end of your first shift back the 25th. So far A and C shift have shown once again what great employee’s south metro has. If you work in Administration and would like to donate please contact Mandy Reed or Chief Mullin. I can tell you that when Mike talked to Casey he could not express is gratitude that his brother and sisters have shown him. Below is a blog site that has been set up to update people on her condition. Any questions or concerns please fill to contact Mike Scarpella or Kinny Tasker

FIRE FIGHTER HELP NEEDED NOW!!!
|
Brothers & Sisters,
Colorado Professional Fire Fighters have worked very hard over the years to ensure that all fire fighters in our state all have a voice in their safety AND WE HAVE NEVER BEEN CLOSER THAN NOW! This year we have achieved an incredible accomplishment by passing SB 180 in the Senate, but we still need support in the House. This bill gives ALL the fire fighters who risk their lives this voice and recognition for their commitment to others! Unfortunately the Colorado Municipal League and some Fire Chiefs feel that allowing fire fighters to have representation would take away their power to boss fire fighters around and although they aren't the ones battling the fires they feel they know more than you. They don not recognize what we do for our communities and the risks we take.
IT IS CRITICAL THAT EVERY FIRE FIGHTER participate in our email campaign! It is very important that every fire fighter has a voice and recognition in our profession. Everyone of us deserves that right and the ability to protect our safety and bargaining for wages, benefits, and working conditions. THIS EMAIL WILL ONLY TAKE A MINUTE AND IS NECESSARY FOR OUR SUCCESS AS FIRE FIGHTERS IN COLORADO!!!
CPFF President, Randy Atkinson
Ask for support of SB 180 now!!!
